Terms

Terms & Conditions - DBWraps

1. Scope

These Terms & Conditions apply to: (a) your use of our website and online quotation/enquiry tools; and (b) all kitchen, door, and surface wrapping services supplied by DBWraps.

If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and a written quotation, proposal, or booking confirmation we issue, the written document will take precedence for that specific job.

2. Online Quotes and Estimates

Virtual estimates. Any estimate generated through our online form is based solely on the information and images you provide. These estimates are indicative only and do not constitute a final price. The cost may change once measurements, surface condition, access, and materials are verified.

Price adjustments. If the information supplied is incomplete or inaccurate, or if additional preparation, repairs, materials, or items are required due to site conditions, we reserve the right to amend the price. Any changes will be explained to you, along with available options, before work proceeds.

Survey and verification. Where necessary, we may require an in-person survey or live/video assessment before confirming the final price and installation date.

3. Bookings, Deposits, and Installation Dates

Deposit. A deposit of 20% is normally required to secure an installation date.

Holding a provisional date. We may provisionally hold a date for up to 72 hours. If the deposit is not received within this period, the date may be released.

Final balance. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining balance is payable within 24 hours of completion.

4. Payments

We accept payment by bank transfer, card, or finance (where available). Any finance agreement is strictly between you and the finance provider.

5. Your Responsibilities (Before Installation)

Clear and clean areas. All worktops and surfaces must be cleared, and all areas to be wrapped must be thoroughly cleaned and degreased prior to our arrival.

Cleaning fee. If areas are not suitably prepared, we reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee of £150 (or your selected fee) and/or reschedule the work.

Access and utilities. You must provide safe access to the property, reasonable parking/loading arrangements, and (where required) electricity and adequate lighting.

6. Installation Timing and Delays

Estimated timings. All start times and completion estimates are approximate. We will keep you informed if delays occur due to traffic, access issues, weather, supplier problems, or other factors beyond our control.

Stock and supplier issues. If materials are delayed or discontinued by suppliers or couriers, we may propose alternatives or rearrange the installation date.

7. Colours, Samples, and Matching

Colour selection. Final colour choices are the customer's responsibility. We recommend confirming selections at least 14 days before installation to avoid delays.

Partial colour matching. For partial wrapping projects, we cannot guarantee an exact colour or finish match with existing surfaces, although we will aim to achieve the closest reasonable match.

8. Cancellations and Rescheduling (Consumer Jobs)

Cooling-off period. If you book remotely (for example, online), you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days, subject to statutory exceptions and whether you requested work to begin during this period.

Rescheduling. If you need to change your installation date, please notify us as early as possible. We will do our best to accommodate a new date, subject to availability.

Late cancellations and deposits. If you cancel after materials have been ordered or significant time has been reserved, we may retain some or all of the deposit to cover reasonable costs already incurred (such as materials, administration, and planning). We will explain these costs if applicable.

If we cancel. If we cancel due to our own fault and cannot offer a suitable alternative date, any deposit paid for the cancelled work will be refunded.

9. Aftercare and Guarantee

Aftercare. We will provide aftercare instructions following installation. Failure to follow these guidelines may invalidate any guarantee.

Materials. Material performance and lifespan (including fading or discolouration) are subject to manufacturer specifications and environmental conditions.

Workmanship guarantee. We provide a 1-year workmanship guarantee from the date of completion, subject to inspection and the exclusions outlined below.

10. Existing Fixtures, Surfaces, and Limitations

Pre-existing conditions. We are not responsible for defects that already exist, including (but not limited to) damaged doors, hinges, screws, kickboard fixings, poor paint or plaster, loose grout, swollen MDF, damp, or damaged laminate. Wrapping may highlight existing imperfections.

Risk of breakage. While reasonable care is taken, older or brittle components may break during removal or refitting. We will notify you if issues arise.

Paint lift risk. Where specialist tape is used on painted surfaces, there is a risk of paint lifting if the paint is weak, poorly bonded, or previously damaged.

11. Customer Conduct

We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards abusive, aggressive, or threatening behaviour. If the safety of our team is compromised, we reserve the right to stop work and leave the site. Any outstanding costs may remain payable.

12. Data Protection, Referrals, and Third-Party Sharing

Privacy Notice. Our Privacy Notice explains how we collect and use personal data (including contact details, address/postcode, project information, and photos) and outlines your rights.

Out-of-area referrals. If we are unable to service your location or capacity is limited, we may offer to pass your enquiry to a trusted third-party installer ("Partner") only if you explicitly opt in. This consent is separate from acceptance of these Terms.

Data shared. With your opt-in consent, we may share relevant details (such as your name, contact information, postcode or area, project details, and submitted photos) to allow the Partner to contact you and provide a quotation.

Referral fee. If a Partner accepts your enquiry or completes work for you, DBWraps may receive a referral fee or commission. This does not create an employment or agency relationship. Any contract will be strictly between you and the Partner.

Quote tool acknowledgement. By ticking the relevant box in our quote tool, you confirm that you understand we may share your details with a trusted Partner if we cannot cover your area and that we may receive a referral fee.

Partner responsibility. Once shared, the Partner becomes responsible for handling your personal data under their own privacy policy and for all communications with you.

Withdrawing consent. You may withdraw your referral consent at any time before your enquiry is shared by contacting us at info@db-wraps.com. Withdrawal will not affect any processing already completed.

Marketing. Marketing communications by email or text are subject to PECR regulations. Marketing opt-ins are always separate and optional.

13. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be limited. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your enquiry or booking will apply unless otherwise agreed in writing.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
